The Niébé beans are the pride of Niger and they are completely unique with a fresh pea-like taste. They are of the best quality and they are thoroughly tested by warfair.
The Niébé bean is a vigna bean, and is characterized by the small black so-called navel spot. Since it is a local variety that the farmers in Niger are very proud of, we call them what they are called in Niger: Niébé beans. We are proud to be able to introduce a new bean to the Danish market, and we hope you will support this first sample shipment.
Niger is one of the world's poorest countries, and affected by a number of conflicts that come across the borders from both north and south. The production of Niébé beans creates work and income. Watch a video from Niger made by Safi Yahiya below.
They can be used in salads, stews or simply as snacks. They should be treated like other beans: rinse and soak in plenty of water 10-12 hours before use.
