New: Mango Brooks from Burkina Faso

We are not that easy to impress. But our new mango brooks taste unbelievably good. The dried strips are sweet, low in acid and made entirely without sulfur or sugar. Natural, organic and fair trade. And at a good price. What more could you ask for?

And then they are from Burkina Faso, which is badly affected by conflict. In recent weeks, over 150 people have been killed in attacks in the northern and eastern parts of the country. About 40% of the country is controlled by armed Islamist groups. There are over 2 million refugees.

The company we deal with, Gebana , has its factory in a quiet area, but there are a number of the farmers and women who supply to the factory who are affected. In addition, the conflict causes prices to rise and creates unrest and uncertainty. But Gebana continues to fight to deliver top quality from a country in conflict. They are even in the process of building a new and larger factory. Mango production creates work and income both at the factory and for over 1,600 farmers and their families.

Gebana in Burkina Faso is a really good partner. In addition to the new mango brooks, we also get cashew nuts from them, and here we have also just received new shipments home of both the raw and the salted ones.

Hope you will support them. And hope you will enjoy the new mango brooks!

Thank you for acting for peace.
