Then we have Sesame from Somalia again
Somalia has experienced the worst drought in 40 years. It hit agriculture and sesame production very hard, and Somalia became unable to export agricultural goods.
But last year the rain returned, and this week we received a new shipment of Sesame from Somalia. It is a good and positive sign of progress in Somalia.
Sesame production is the country's pride and Somalia was formerly one of the world's largest exporters. We import a tasty, shelled and thoroughly tested quality sesame from Som Seed Agri in Mogadishu with very high purity (99.98%).
The production of sesame seeds creates jobs and income - both at the factory and for Somali farmers and women. This is badly needed in the extremely poor and vulnerable country.
