Strong and tasty licorice root sticks that are 50% peeled, giving a very pure product with a high content of licorice flavor. The package contains 7 licorice roots, approx. 25 g. Can be chewed as candy or used in tea.
The licorice root is collected in northern Afghanistan and is some of the best in the world due to the climate and cultivation in the mountains.
Produced by the company SHADIAN (new window) in Mazar-e-Sharif in northern Afghanistan. The licorice production was certified organic in March 2022, in collaboration with warfair, but the goods are not yet imported organically and with an organic label.
The production provides jobs and income for both women and men.
