A visit to the West Bank

Last week I visited Taybeh, the small Christian village in the West Bank of Palestine where we buy our olive oil, couscous, freekeh and beer. The employees at Taybeh Brewing Company were busy packing 10 large pallets, which will soon be on their way in a container to Denmark.
Taybeh means "the good" or "the pleasant". The city was named for the kindness and hospitality of its inhabitants. It has become a symbol of cooperation, respect and peaceful coexistence between religions in a troubled region. And the products of the Taybeh Brewing Company are sold in Palestine, Israel, the USA and Europe.
In recent months, the peace has been broken. The city has been attacked several times by a small group of extremist settlers, and they are experiencing increasing restrictions. But the employees at Taybeh Brewing Company continue to work tirelessly. When I visited them, they were in the process of putting warfare labels on all our beers.

We also continue to work tirelessly in warfair. Because we believe that trade can make a small contribution to peace and cooperation.
Thank you for acting for peace.

Kind regards,
Christian / warfair team

PS. We're sold out of the beers, but when the containers arrive we'll have six different beers from Taybeh Brewing Company. Enjoy!
