An elegant dry red wine made from Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Pinot Noir (10%) grape varieties. The wine is harmonious with a hint of blackberry, cherry and blueberry. The special character of the Chateau Chizay vineyards gives a slight acidity to the taste, which causes a long aftertaste with light notes of vanilla from oak barrels

Chateau Chizay is one of the most important wineries in Ukraine. It is located in the historical Zakarpattia region of western Ukraine at the foot of the Carpathian mountain range, where Ukraine borders Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
Zakarpattia is one of the best wine regions in Ukraine. It is protected from cold fronts by the Carpathians. The region has mild sunlight and optimal rainfall. The soil is predominantly limestone full of minerals and micronutrients that give the grapes a unique taste and the wine a very special character.
