Damascus Zhorat is a traditional Syrian herbal tea inspired by Syria's lush gardens and landscapes. Made from a carefully selected blend of dried flowers and herbs, it offers a soothing, naturally relaxing infusion with floral and aromatic notes.
The tea originates from the area around Damascus and contains no less than 11 different flowers and herbs: Damask rose petals, chamomile, lemon balm, thyme flowers, lavender, anise, fennel, sage, marjoram, rosemary, and licorice root.
Damascus Zhorat is traditionally enjoyed for relaxation and well-being and can be savored hot or cold, alone or with a touch of honey. Each cup brings a taste of Syrian heritage and the peaceful beauty of Damascus, offering a sensory journey to the heart of the Levant. The tea is caffeine-free.
The tea is produced by one of the oldest and most traditional companies, Zhorat Al-Zarkawi, in Damascus. We import the tea in collaboration with the newly established company Levantina Global, founded by former employees of the White Helmets.
Trade contributes to income and employment in Syria, where up to 90% of the population lives in poverty after more than 10 years of war and oppression.
