Chufa or ground almonds are a unique root vegetable that originates from northern Africa. It is an almost unknown superfood and full of antioxidants, unsaturated fatty acids and especially rich in vitamins C and E, minerals and fibre. This chufa is quality chufa from Niger.
We have transported them to Denmark in good cooperation with the company Yahaya Groupe, which was founded by the Dane Safi Yahiya, who himself has roots in Niger. We are very happy to be able to introduce Chufa directly from Niger to the Danish market, and hope you will support this first sample shipment.
Use chufa as a snack, in salads or bread. Lactose- and gluten-free.
Soak in water for 24-48 hours before use.
