Almond blossoms and almond offerings

It has been flowering time for the almond trees in Afghanistan. We are celebrating with a great offer on the unique raw Shakurbai almonds . Buy 1 kg for only 199 kroner - reduced from 349 kroner.
Afghans are incredibly proud of their almonds. There are 108 different registered almonds in Afghanistan - and hundreds of local varieties. Almonds are to Afghans what spaghetti is to Italians or cheese is to French. It is culture, history, agriculture, income and work all at once.
Almond trees are related to peaches, cherries and plums. They are believed to have originated in Afghanistan and Persia, from where they have spread both east and west.
On Instagram you can take a walk in an Afghan almond grove with Jaweed, the director of Ziba Foods, from whom we buy our almonds. Or take a walk around the amazing white and red flowering almond trees .
We also have offers for Satarbai almonds with shells. You can have them sprout into an almond tree for your garden. See how to do it here .
We import a total of five different Afghan almonds.
Thank you for trading for peace.
